Premium MDF Cabinet Doors & Custom Solutions
To set the benchmark for quality and innovation in MDF door manufacturing recognized for our integrity, reliability, and commitment to excellence in every project we deliver.
One-piece MDF doors are cut from a single sheet of premium medium-density fiberboard using CNC technology. Unlike 5-piece doors with joints, they have no seams or cracks, which means a smoother surface, better paint finish, and zero risk of joint movement or separation over time.
MDF offers a stable, uniform core that resists warping, expansion, and cracking due to humidity or temperature changes. It’s ideal for paint-grade cabinetry and provides a smoother, more consistent surface than many wood alternatives. Solid wood can move and split over time, while MDF stays flat and stable.
We offer fully custom sizing on all our door styles. Each door is cut to order based on your exact dimensions, hinge bore locations, and profile preferences. Whether you need a single replacement door or a full kitchen set, TrueCore can produce it to your specs.
Our most common thickness is 3/4” (19mm) MDF, but we can also produce 1” (25mm) thick doors on request for certain models.
Yes. You can choose between raw MDF (sanded and ready for priming) or primed doors (finished with a high-quality primer, ready for topcoat). Our primer is applied using professional spray equipment to ensure a smooth, uniform finish that saves painters time and improves the final look.
We recommend high-quality waterborne polyurethane or 2K coatings, such as Envirolak or similar professional-grade systems. These products provide durability, chemical resistance, and excellent adhesion while keeping the surface smooth and easy to clean.
When properly finished and handled, MDF doors are very durable for residential and commercial cabinetry. They resist warping, cracking, and expansion better than most solid-wood doors.
MDF is denser than many wood species, so the doors are slightly heavier, but still manageable for standard cabinetry hardware. This density is what gives them a solid, high-quality feel and helps ensure a consistent finish.
HDF (High Density Fiberboard) is denser and harder than standard MDF. It provides sharper machining details, crisper profiles, and increased edge durability. At TrueCore, we use premium HDF materials.
We use professional-grade, catalyzed 2K polyurethane primers designed specifically for cabinet and millwork applications. These high-solids primers provide superior adhesion, moisture resistance, edge sealing, and long-term durability compared to standard single-component primers.
TrueCore applies a minimum of two coats of polyurethane primer. This ensures consistent coverage, proper film build, sealed edges, and a smooth surface ready for finish paint.
Primed MDF doors are highly moisture-resistant, not waterproof in the sense of being submersible. The catalyzed polyurethane primer creates an excellent moisture barrier when combined with proper finishing and installation, making the doors suitable for everyday kitchen and bathroom environments.
Yes. Our primer is fully compatible with water-based, solvent-based, oil-based, acrylic, enamel, automotive, and epoxy topcoats. Cabinet shops and painters can use their preferred finishing system without compatibility issues.
TrueCore doors are manufactured from 3/4″ or 1" premium HDF depending on the style, providing excellent rigidity, durability, and a high-end feel.
Yes. TrueCore offers a wide range of shaker, bevel, slab, and custom CNC profiles. Custom depths, bevel angles, and edge details are available upon request.
